FAQ
How does it work?
Cryopen is a medical device that delivers Nitrous Oxide to the area to be treated with pin point precision, causing the underlying tissue to crystalise, shatter and then eventually die off.
How long does it take?
Using the freeze-thaw-freeze technique, the area is treated for up to 30 seconds each time, and repeated. An appointment time is up to 30 minutes, to include consultation and any questions.
How long until I see results?
The area treated may initially become swollen, and a blister might form. This will then scab over and drop off after approximately two weeks. It can take up to four weeks to see the final results.
How many treatments will it take?
Occasionally a second Cryopen session is required. Included in the fee, a follow up appointment is booked for 3-4 weeks after the initial treatment. If further treatment is needed at this point, there is no further cost.
Is it painful?
Discomfort is experienced by some clients as a cold, tingling or itching sensation during treatment and for a few minutes afterwards.
How long is the downtime afterwards?
Minimal, besides keeping the area clean and dry (no touching or picking!) there are no particular restrictions.
Which areas does this mobile service cover?
Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. Further than this will be available, a supplement for travel will be discussed on an individual basis.
